Existing Cobras Players Registering for Summer

If you are a current Cobras player (winter season) and/or you played for Cobras last summer, please register for next season using the link in the email sent to you on 13th August.  Do not submit a New Player EOI, an EOI is not a registration for summer season.

New Player EOI

Please complete this Expression of Interest form if you are NOT a current Cobras player and are interested in joining a Carina Cobras Basketball team for next season.

Carina Cobras is a registered Play On! Queensland provider. You can find out how to apply for a voucher here: https://www.qld.gov.au/recreation/sports/funding/playon/apply

Please be aware, this is an Expression of Interest only and does not guarantee a place in a team. As a club, we are limited by the number of players and teams we can enter into competition and also rely solely on volunteer coaches and managers. By completing this form, you are in the best possible position to obtain a place in the upcoming season.

If you can help with volunteering, please add that to the form.

Please refer here for a breakdown of all fees payable, and season dates: https://www.carinacobras.com.au/newplayers

For more information regarding age group cut offs, basketball sizes, competition days and other club information, please refer to the information outlined on the website - www.carinacobras.com.au

Stay in Touch

The easiest thing you can do to help the club and ensure a smooth season is stay up to date.

Our key communications channels are:
  • Facebook and Instagram
  • E-mails

Many of the emails that we send are system-generated, and come from the email address mailer-carinacobras@majestri.com.au
This means that our emails can sometimes end up in your junk/spam folder.
You can "whitelist" or add this address to your safe senders list in your email account to ensure you don't miss out on important information.  Also, if you find one of our emails in your spam folder mark it NOT SPAM which then signals to your email program that these are emails that you want to see in the future.

PLEASE let your team manager know if your child will miss games, so we can find fill in players. It is also important that you let your manager know if your child is injured and will be unable to play for any length of time not only for fill-ins, but also to ensure your child may still be eligible for finals at the end of season.

Team Creation

  • We try to keep friends and teams together where we can but with hundreds of kids playing each season, it can be impossible to meet everyone's request, particularly with players changing age divisions and some improving faster than others.
  • We depend on feedback from coaches and parents when putting players in skill divisions.  Whether your child moves up a division also depends on vacancies available in higher divisions.
  • Please understand if your child is not in the skill division you expected - we've done the best we can with the information and vacancies we currently have available, particularly in the current environment.  Please get in touch if you have continuing concerns.

For more information on the process refer to the FAQs
